New Delhi: A massive fire broke out on Sunday at a garment factory in a congested area in east Delhi.

"The fire at the garment factory in Gandhi Nagar area was reported at 2.00 pm and so far no loss of life has been reported," a fire department official said.

The factory, manufacturing T shirts, was located in Mahila Colony in the area and belonged to one Jagdish Suneja.

The cause of the blaze and extent of damage caused by it is yet to be ascertained, the official said.

25 fire tenders took around five hours to douse the flames, he said.
