Paying tribute to Azad, chief guest and Haryana Transport Minister Aftab Ahmed called for the people to follow the path shown by noted freedom fighter. Azad's thoughts, his contribution and commitment to nationalism and secularism are unparalleled, added the minister.

Ahmed said that Congress-led UPA government at the Centre has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Maulana Azad as the education day in the entire country.

The Haryana Transport Minister informed that Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad is soon going to set up its sub-center at Palla village in Mewat, for which village panchayat has donated 17.5 acres of land.

Showering praise on Assistant Professor MANUU Model School/SRC for successfully running the institution, the minister said that it is Muzaffar Islam who is instrumental in setting up the center at Mewat.

The Nuh MLA also assured Muzaffar Islam of extending support to the school and center. Several prominent persons including Aftab Ahmed’s brother and PCC member Mehtab Ahmed and hundreds of students were also present on the occasion.
