Lucknow: In view of the forthcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has decided to get the report card of her legislators prepared.

Party legislators have been informed that media is playing as a spoilsport to tarnish her party’s image which will not be tolerated. The Chief Minister said that she would take a decision on the information received from the party cadres on their leaders’ conduct. If an MLA is found to be involved in any kind of misconduct, his ticket can be cancelled, she added.

The BSP which has been facing flak from the Opposition owing to poor law and order in the state is once again in the news for the misconduct of an MLC’s son in public. He is alleged to have kidnapped a girl who was just going to get married.

As such incidents can tarnish the party’s image in forthcoming Assembly elections, Mayawati is maintaining a tough posture towards erring party functionaries. The BSP chief has instructed cadre to monitor the conduct of the party’s workers.

The outburst of BSP chief has come in the wake of never ending complaints against the party MPs and MLAs for their misdemeanor and flouting the ethics of the BSP.

According to sources, the party cadres have been asked to apprise the party high command of this and keep a tab on the activities of prospective candidates.
