Lucknow: The indecent behavior of the district authorities with the ruling party MLAs in their respective constituencies has irked Chief Minister Mayawati who has decided to tighten the screw of such in-disciplined officials in the state.
The BSP supreme resorted to this damage control exercise in wake of the complaints of a few party legislators that the district authorities are not paying heed to their complaints while they visited their constituencies. Since MLAs were not able to get their work done, they urged the party chief in this regard to save them from people’s ire in the upcoming Assembly elections.

According to reports, BSP legislators were confronting evasive approach of the officials which affected their public image therefore they had no other option but to directly approach the Chief Minister to salvage party’s interest and to save their vote bank.

The state government has issued a circular to the departments of Chief Secretary, DGP, Commissioner and collectors instructing them to follow the party protocol with etiquettes.

Meanwhile, the party chief also instructed the officials to respond to the letters of the legislators within a month, and if any legislator speaks with the concerned official, they should answer them immediately.
