Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati spent the whole day at her 13, Mall Avenue, Lucknow on Thursday, the last day of poll campaign for final phase of Uttar Pradesh assembly polls. However the official residence of the Chief Minister is 5, Kalidas Marg. But Mayawati monitored her entire poll campaign on Thursday from 13, Mall Avenue.

The Chief Minister ended her poll campaign on Wednesday and chose not to attend any election rally on Thursday, the last day of the campaign. While staying at her residence, she monitored the developments in the 10 districts of the state which will going to polls on Saturday in the final phase.

Senior BSP leader Nasimuddin Siddiqui apprised her of the current political equation of the last phase, especially the mood of the Muslim voters. Sources said that the CM spoke to some candidates and sought some feedbacks from them over the party’s position.

She suggested the candidates that if the opposition parties try to create hurdle in the poll process, they should immediate inform the Election Commission about it.

She directed the DGP and the Principal Secretary (Home) to be alert and have the law and order condition under control during the 7th phase of polls.
