"I have been a victim of the misuse of CBI. Be it BJP or Congress, both have misused CBI," she said. The former Uttar Pradesh CM said such "misuse" is not good for a healthy democracy and "we condemn it".

She said despite Centre's efforts to target her, she got reprieve from the Supreme Court. SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati are facing cases of disproportionate assets which were investigated by CBI.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday carried out a search at the residence of MK Stalin, son of DMK chief M Karunanidhi, in Chennai. The search comes two days after the DMK announced its decision to pull out of the central government and the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA).
