Chandigarh: In order to increase its vote bank and party organization at the grass root level in north zone, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is gearing up for the convention of party workers in Chandigarh on Sunday.

BSP supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati will address party workers of five states in a convention on Sunday at sector-25 Rally Ground here.

Lakhs of party workers from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Chandigarh are likely to participate in the convention.

The BSP leaders claimed, the party is expecting participation of about 2.5-3 lakh party workers in the convention.

Lucknow office of BSP said, Mayawati will give the message to party workers to increase vote bank through connecting SC/ST, other castes and Sarva Samaj in the northern parts of the country.

Mayawati will focus on the implementation of her famous social engineering formula in Punjab through which her party won the Assembly election in UP in 2007.

The CM wants to follow the social engineering formula in the upcoming Assembly election in Punjab and municipal election in Chandigarh.
