Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, who has been on communicative spree with the Prime Minister for quota, has gone one step ahead by sending him a DVD alongwith letter to depict the dilapidated condition of roads in the state.

In her missive to the PM, Mayawati has expressed her concern about the ramshackle national highways in Utter Pradesh. Along with the letter, she also packed off a DVD containing videography of the withering roads.

She also took a dig at the Centre for showing laxity towards releasing funds for the maintenance of roads. Mayawati has given detailed account of expense of Rs 683.64 crore for yearly development schemes to the Centre.

Remarkably, the Union Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways has released only Rs 50.50 crore in place of Rs 900 crore for the annual plans in UP.
