New Delhi: Expressing satisfaction over the improved security condition in the state, US Senator John McCain said the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved significantly.

Taking a critical view of the connections between Pakistan military establishment and the terror groups in the country, McCain said: “The troubling connection remains between Pakistan’s military and terrorist groups like the Haqqani network and Lashkar e-Taiba which are killing Indians, Afghans and Pakistanis.”

He visited all three regions of the state and met the leaders of the state.

McCain however refused to divulge the details of his talks with Pak Army General Parvez Kayani over the Kashmir issue.

US Senator admitted the fact that a serious debate was on in his country over the alleged nexus between Pak Army and terror organizations active in the South Asia.

It is worth mentioning that Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had arrested Ghulam Nabi Fai for allegedly accepting funds from the ISI.
