New Delhi: Country’s largest local body Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is going to hold meeting at its new office, Civic Centre, which is 112 meter tall and well equipped with all hi-tech facilities.

While the completion of main hall has been delayed by two-three months, two hi-tech meeting halls at second floor have been finished to organise meetings of MCD Standing Committee and other special committees.

These two meeting halls have been furnished with the state-of–art technologies. A person would get camera focus automatically while standing from his seat and would get his enlarged image on the wall screen above the chairman's seat.

Eight hi-tech cameras have been installed in the meeting halls that would also help to record the proceedings.

The translator facility is at par with that of Parliament, which enables a listener to hear speech in his own language.

Wi-Fi network has been activated for uninterrupted internet access in the meeting hall.

According to Sunil Tyagi, one of the main engineers of Civic Centre project, no other local body in the country has this sort of Wi-Fi facility.

The MCD would start its functioning from these meeting halls after getting an NOC from Delhi Fire Services.
