Mukesh Thapa is one such artist who has managed to register his name in the Limca Book of Records. Mukesh is master of a unique art and wishes to display his talent to the world.

Born on March 29, 1979 in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, Thapa has a unique ability to make paintings with a single human hair. Moreover, Thapa did not take any formal training in painting, yet his passion and zeal drove him to be a professional painter. Surprised? Yes, the hill dweller uses his hair as a brush in making portraits and other paintings. Also, he has built an art gallery of paintings at Shyam Nagar, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.

The Himachali artist has achieved many milestones, including being crowned as best painter in the world by Fine Art Studio Online (FASO), a US-based organization. His painting, having the theme ‘End of Green’, was adjudicated as best among the 439 entries from across the globe.

Also, one of his paintings ‘The Stages’ was mentioned in ‘Mind and Spirit Emotion’ art competition in the USA. Nature’s beauty is the core theme of most of his paintings. He started making painting at the age of just 4 years. He has portrayed ‘mini Switzerland’ Dharamsala in many of his paintings which have received international recognition. Mukesh wants the art to prevail and inspire youths to learn painting in his home state.
