New Delhi: The war of words over People's Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti’s remarks on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi during his ‘Sadbhavna fast’ has once again been reignited with Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj’s claim that Mufti praised Modi by giving reference of a Chennai based Muslim merchant.

Earlier Mufti had denied the claim made by Swaraj by stating that her statement was misinterpreted. She had also asked the government to publicise her speech made during the NIC meeting, adding that she never praised Modi’s administration.

Sushma Swaraj on September 19 during Modi’s ‘Sadhbhavna fast’ organised in Ahmedabad, had quoted Mufti’s remark to appreciate Modi’s administration.

Sushma Swaraj on Saturday has once again justified her claim on Tweeter.

She tweeted, “Details of the meeting are with me. She had said that ‘Once she met a Muslim merchant in Chennai and that particular merchant was impressed by Modi when he met Modi. He got his work done in ten minutes’.”
