The Meizu MX5 sports 5.5-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by a octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone runs Android 5 and packs 20.7MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter.

The device gets its juice from a 3,150mAh battery and supports dual-SIM, LTE, Wi-fi 802.11 ac, and Bluetooth 4.1.

Recently, Meizu made its India debut with M1 Note smartphone with 5.5-inch full HD display, MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM. The phone has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera along with 3,140 mAh battery. On connectivity options, the smartphone has dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Established in 2003 and headquartered in Zhuhai, China, Meizu expanded into the smartphone market in 2008. It has over 1,000 employees and has a presence in Hong Kong, Israel, Russia and Ukraine.
In February this year, eCommerce giant Alibaba Group Holding picked up stake in Meizu for about USD 590 million. There are reports that Alibaba is in discussions to buy stake in homegrown handset maker, Micromax.
