New Delhi (JPN/Bureau): Heavy snowfall in the hills of Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh has brought down the mercury in several parts of Northern India including Delhi, Punjab and Haryana.

Following the snowfall on hills and rains at isolated places of Punjab and Haryana, the cold wave has returned to the northern region of the country.

People in the national capital woke up on Monday morning to witness an overcast sky and intermittent drizzle. As the sky remained overcast the minimum temperature hovered between two to four degrees celsius above normal in the region, the Met office said.

The Met forecast cloudy conditions with possibility of light showers and rise in day as well as night temperatures in the region during the next two days.
