Himachal Pradesh received ever-highest rainfall in the month of March. This year, 190 mm rainfall has been recorded across the state, 81 percent above the normal rainfall.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Himachal Pradesh said 12 districts of the state have received excessive rainfall in March.  

The temperature recorded on Friday was 14 degrees Celsius. More rain and thundershowers are predicted for the next few days in the state.

"The western disturbances will remain active in the Himalayan region and its adjoining plains till April 4, bringing more rainfall in mid and low hills," an official f the meteorological department had said on March 2.

The official said there are chances of heavy rain or thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorms at Shimla, Kufri, Narkanda, Manali and Dharamsala.
