New Delhi: An art piece made by the late eminent painter MF Husain was sold for Rs 1.45 crore during an auction on Sunday. The Husain’s painting of seven horses was bought by one of his Indian fans, an art lover from Mumbai.

The event was organized in the Park Hotel at Connaught Place by an art auction cell- Art Bull- which displayed 119 artworks among which more than hundred paintings were sold in lakhs of rupees.

Apart from Husain’s painting, other two art work by Ramkinkar Baij and Ram Kumar were sold in Rs 90 lakh and 27 lakh respectively.

Paintings of Jamini Roy, Manjit Bawa, Lakshaman Gaur and some others were also auctioned in lakhs of rupees.
