Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 crashed after it was shot down by suspected pro-Russian Ukraine rebels, killing all 298 people on board.

President expresses grief over MH17 crash

President Pranab Mukherjee earlier condoled the crash of the Malaysian Airlines passenger jet and expressed sorrow and sympathy over the tragedy that claimed lives of 298 people.

It is worth mentioning that Malaysia Airlines MH17 jetliner crashed on Thursday in Ukraine near the Russian border, with all 298 passengers and crew members on board killed.

The disaster has deeply shocked Malaysia, which is still grappling with the trauma of the March 8 disappearance of MH370 with 239 passengers and crew aboard.
