The company's official invite, however, does not disclose much details about the device. Also, the information on the viscera of  new YU series smartphone are not revealed.

Micromax- India's second largest smartphone maker-  had on last month unveiled a new range of devices under 'Yu' brand. A subsidiary of Micromax, Yu Televentures, has partnered Cyanogen to offer customised user experience to end users.

While announcing its partnership with Cyanogen, Micromax had decided to launch the first handset under the brand this month.

Cyanogen operating system, built on Android, is known for delivering rich software advancements that optimise performance, customisation, security and privacy features on mobile devices.

Some of the prelim leaks have signaled that Micromax's first YU brand smartphone will feature CyanogenMod OS version and will be powered by a 64-bit CPU.

After its launch in India on December 18, YU Cyanogen OS handset is rumored to be available after 2-3 weeks of the declaration.
