With a motive to strengthening the company’s portfolio in the phablet segment, the Indian technology giant Micromax introduced Canvas Mega 2, its new large-screen smartphone for the youth, evolved, hyper-social and on the go consumers.

Following are the specifications of the device:

  • The Canvas Mega 2 features a plastic and glass contruction that is available in a slim design which focuses on the giant phablet-sized 6-inch display.
  • That 6-inch IPS LCD display however sports qHD (960×540 pixels) resolution, which is a bit disappointing.
  • Inside there is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage that is expandable to 32GB via a microSD card.
  • There is an 8MP autofocus camera on the back which is accompanied by an LED flash and a 5MP fixed focus unit up front for selfies.
  • The smartphone packs in 4G LTE bands and comes with the usual connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and is powered by a 3000mAh battery.
  • The Micromax Canvas Mega 2 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.
