The handset is being recognised as Redmond giant's most affordable Internet-ready phone priced at Rs 2,149 in India.

Nokia 215 comes with pre-installed apps like Facebook and Messenger with instant notifications option
and is believed to be the first phone that will enable users to use social networking website Facebook in 9 local languages.

Nokia 215 dual SIM features 2.4-inch QVGA display with 240 x 320 pixels resolution. The device runs on Nokia Series 30+ Operating System and gets micro USB, 3.5mm AV connector and Bluetooth 3.0 on the connectivity front. The device powered by a 1100mAh battery, which claims to give talktime of 20hrs and standby time up to 29 days for single SIM, 21 days for dual SIM.

The device measures 116mm x 50mm x 12.9mm and weighs around 78.7 grams. The device gets external memory up to 32GB via microSD card. The handset doesn't get any front camera, just VGA camera on the rear.

Speaking at the launch, Raghuvesh Sarup, Director-Marketing, Nokia India Sales Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobiles Oy said, "India is a ‘mobile-first' market, and feature phones are the first port of access to internet for a large number of mobile users.
