According to Digitimes, BlackBerry is once again being pinpointed as a target for acquisition after it managed to swing back to profitability in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2014.

Software giant Microsoft and other China-based handset vendors, including Xiaomi, Lenovo and Huawei, are being indicated as potential investors, Digitimes said in its report.

Earlier, Samsung approached BlackBerry Ltd  to buy the company for as much as USD 7.5 billion. Representatives from the two companies, which are working with advisers, met to discuss a potential transaction, the source said.
