New Delhi: In a protest against the government for giving less compensation for acquiring 2,000 acres of land in Delhi Dehat, the Kisan-Khtihar Mazdoor Sangarsh Samiti conducted a Mahapanchayat at Barwala village in outer Delhi on Sunday.

Farmers and the labourers from 360 villages marked their participation in the Mahapanchayat which prominently Begampur, Pansali, Prahladpur Bangar, Khera Khurd, Khera Kalan, Naya Bans, Holambi, Sanauth, Shahbad Daulatpur, Kiradi, Bawana, Nithari and Madanpur Dabas.

In the meeting, farmers discussed about compensation as per market price for land acquired, royalty of Rs 1 lakh per acre every year, alternative plot, 25 percent share in developed land including flat and job for any one member of the family.
