Srinagar: Militants on Wednesday opened fire at a foot patrol of Army in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

Nut no casualty was reported in the incident, police said.

The ultras fired at the patrol party of 44 Rashtriya Rifles in Rajpora area of the district, 45 km from here.

The army personnel fired back forcing the militants to flee. No one was injured in the brief firing. Security forces cordoned off the area and launched search operation to nab the militants, they added.
