Jammu: Taking advantage of blinding fog covering border areas, the Pakistan army has become proactive with its nefarious plan of helping militants infiltrate into Kashmir valley.

According to intelligence sources, several hundred militants are waiting to cross the border along Kashmir with the help of Pakistani army establishment.

The Indian security forces said that the firing by Pakistan rangers, which claimed life of a BSF soldier, at the Khoda Indian posts on December 30 was part of their gameplan to help the terrorists cross the border.

According to BSF, they are keeping a close vigil on the border and are determined to foil any infiltration bid from Pakistan side. The Jammu and Kashmir Police have also alerted village defence committees in several areas to fend off terror attack.

“We have made all arrangements, including new hi-tech gadgets, to keep an eye on any infiltration activity from across the border. We are ready to foil their evil plans,” said JS Oberai, BSF DIG.

Violating terms of ceasefire, the Pakistani forces have fired at several Indian posts in Poonch, Tarkundi and KG Sector in December last year. Every year during foggy weather in January, the Pakistan forces help militants cross the border by giving them cover fire.
