The JPL has also announced its financial results on Thursday. The company has reported revenue of Rs 422.74 crore for the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal, operating profit of Rs 104.79 crore, profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 155.96 crore and profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 129.79 crore.

Commenting on the company’s performance for the year ended March 31, 2015, Jagran Prakashan Limited CMD Mahendra Mohan Gupta said, “There are some challenges over growth in advertisement revenue but no increase in average newsprint cost and our ability to adjust swiftly to the environment resulted in impressive growth in profit. The company has declared a dividend of Rs 3.50 per share for the last fiscal.”

The JPL CMD added, “Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has approved the acquisition of Radio City. Radio City's revenue increased by 30 percent in the FY ended March 31, 2015.”   
The JPL's operating revenue increased to Rs 1769.76 crore, advertisement revenue to Rs 1247.06 crore, operating profit to Rs 450.56 crore and profit after tax to Rs 308.09 crore with growth of 36.2 percent in the financial year 2014-15.
