"I am happy that the film has been received so well by the audience. This gives me confidence," Bengali film superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee, who plays the larger than life, adventurist, globe-trotter Kakababu in the flick, said.
"Yes from the extensive desert shoots to the locales under the pyramid, we had shot real time in Egypt. We could have shot in Rajasthan, or done a two-three day shoot in Egypt and conjured up the rest with Computer Graphics Imagery," Srijit said.
Actor Indraneil Sengupta, essaying one of the superlative performances of his life as Hani Alkadi, the poetically inclined desert brigand, "resembled an Egyptian actor," Srijit said.
"Indraneil is not typical Bengali looking. People in Egypt told me he had great similarities with an actor over there," the Hemlock Society maker said.
When asked if it was more of a coincidence all but one of his previous films had been released during Puja and it went in his favour, the trend-setter Autograph maker smiled, "Let's hope the magic works out again."
Mishawr Rawhoshyo, produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, may also be screened in film festivals abroad, Srijit said.
