Film: Miss Lovely

Cast: Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Anil George, Niharika Singh

Director: Ashim Ahluwalia

Set in the backdrop of 1980s, the film revolves around two brothers Sonu Duggal (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and Vicky (Anil George) who come to Mumbai to make sleazy horror films.

Sonu hires a young, beautiful and an innocent woman Pinky (Niharika Singh) to cast her in his horror movie. As the story progresses, things get ugly and Sonu gets embroiled in a controversy surrounding the cops, gangster film producers and his desperate brother.

Miss Lovely can be a good watch not only for horror movie lovers but also it can entice people who love to indulge in sleazy sex movies with a pinch of horror element. Director Ashim Ahluwalia, who made his directorial debut in Bollywood with this movie, failed to impress as there are a few scenes in the movie where you expect a mature execution or treatment, but it turns out to be a disaster.

Whatever the flaws may be, the power-packed performance of the actors, especially, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has made the film a worth watch.
