Jaipur: Rajasthan cadre IAS officer Navin Jain who remained incommunicado for six days was finally traced in Haryana and he expected to resume office from September 8.

Meanwhile, Jain will stay with his family in native Narwana village under district Jind.

In a telephonic conversation with Dainik Jagran, Jain said, “Everybody knows why I disappeared. Once the truth came into light I came back. Now everybody knows I was being framed in controversy. The government had accepted my terms.”

However, preferring anonymity one of the sources said that Jain has not put any statement before the government, hence there is no question of accepting it.

Another state official said that the government was about to start investigation regarding Jain’s involvement in irregularities in MGNREGA and relief work during floods in Karouli and Barah districts respectively. However, even before the government should start investigation in these matters, the IAS officer mysteriously went missing.

Earlier, Jain went missing on August 30 leaving a note for his wife from a roadside eatery in Arwal district of Rajasthan.

Jain was also facing controversies regarding the allotment of an official residence to him in Jaipur. Subsequently, the state government allotted him the controversial residence on September 3.
