New Delhi: After facing the heat over issues like 2G spectrum, price rise and corruption, the Congress party is now gearing up for the upcoming five state assembly polls slated for 2012. While the senior and experienced Congress workers would be leading the front in giving the answers on such smoldering issues, the party youth brigade would also extend its valuable support to the campaign. 

In the two-day meet of Bharatiya Youth Congress Convention starting from Monday, the party would mainly focus on nurturing the young party workers for or the upcoming five assembly polls as the party feels that the participation of youth would be vital in the coming days.

As the youth icon and general secretary of the party Rahul Gandhi is of the view that in a democracy the participation of the youth has always been important, so he himself is taking active part in holing youth Congress elections. Therefore, 8,000 workers from 20 states are actively participating in the convention.  

The seminar would be inaugurated by Rahul Gandhi. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi would also participate in the seminar. 

According to sources, during this seminar the approach of the party regarding issues like 2G spectrum, price rise and corruption would be discussed.
