Ahmedabad: Mitsubishi Corporation India (MCI) Chairman Keiichi Nakagaki on Thursday met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and apprised him about company's investment plans in the state.

Among various projects, Nakagaki highlighted the project of a fertiliser complex proposed at Dahej, in partnership with Zuari, an agri-input company of K K Birla group.

"He (Nakagaki) highlighted the projects of a fertilizer complex at Dahej in partnership with Zuari," an official statement said.

Zuari, plans to set up a fertilizer complex in Dahej and is seeking land from the Gujarat government, a top industry department functionary said.

Amongst the other new projects proposed to be taken up by the company in Gujarat, Nakagaki evinced interest in setting up steel based unit to cater to requirement of auto industry in partnership with Metal One India Pvt Ltd.

Besides the corporation plans for an aluminum extrusion plant, a modern common effluent treatment plant and a water recycling plant in Sanand.

The corporation head also proposed to undertake an environmentally sound ship recycling yard improvement project at Alang, asia's largest ship dismantling yard.
