The Mizoram board of education was established by the government of Mizoram in the year 1975, by the Mizoram board of school education act. The board has the power to regulate, supervise, and control the education system in Mizoram. The main function of this board is to prepare academic programs and organize examinations particularly for state level high school leaving certificate (HSLC) and higher secondary school leaving certificate (HSSLC).
