Mumbai: Over a dozen suspected workers of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Tuesday allegedly vandalised a theatre in Thane, protesting against the screening of a Bhojpuri film ‘Ek Bihari Sau Pe Bhari’.

The group of workers barged into KT Vision theatre at Boisar and started vandalising it. Following the incident, there was chaos inside the theatre.

Earlier on Friday, a group of six persons had attacked a cinema hall in Grant Road (East) protesting against the same movie that was being screened there.

Raj Thackeray had on Friday threatened to brand Biharis as "infiltrators" and forced them out of Maharashtra if authorities in the state of Bihar take legal action against Mumbai policemen.

Earlier, the Bihar police picked up Abdul Qadir from Sitamarhi district without informing their counterparts in that state.
