Lucknow,Jan 05(Agencies): At least five policemen were injured while two of them critically,when a mob torched their outpost in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday to protest the arrest of a suspected robber.

Alleging that the arrested man was not linked to the robbery at a post office which took place on Dec 9, protestors in Jamaniya town in Ghazipur district went on a rampage and barged into the police outpost and set it on fire.


"Five policemen including the outpost in-charge have been seriously injured.
Two of them are in critical condition,"Superintendent of Police Shaqeel Ahmad tol d .
