New Delhi: After questioning three senior Defence Ministry officials, Delhi Police on Monday interrogated two more officers (Colonel Rank) in connection with the mysterious deaths of a senior defence official Kumar Yashkar Sinha and his wife Archana Sharma in a south Delhi flat.

Despite questioning five defence ministry officials of the same department where Yashkar was posted, the Police has failed to ascertain the motive of the murder.

Additional DCP PS Khuswaha informed that Yashkar’s colleagues were questioned about his conduct in the office and whether he ever mentioned about work load and other family problems. However, the officers informed that Yashkar was a hard working and kind hearted person.

Meanwhile, the investigating team of the Delhi Police has scanned Yashkar’s laptop and call details which could give vital evidence into the murder and help take the investigations further.

Notably, during the investigations on Saturday, Delhi Police recovered a hand-written note from Yashkar’s residence.  In the note it is mentioned that two of the ADG Rank (Major General) officials had intentionally burdened Yashkar with work load. But there was no mention of reasons for the suicide.

Meanwhile, Yashkar’s viscera report has been sent for tests. The police is also trying to determine as to how did Yashkar catch fire and was charred to death.
