Ahmadabad: Newly appointed BJP poll campaign chief Narendra Modi and veteran party leader LK Advani will be seen together on Monday for the first time after the former was elevated to central role within the party.

Advani and Modi will visit Junagadh on Monday to attend the condolence meeting of former Union minister and party colleague Bhavna Chikhalia who had died of a heart attack on Friday. Party president Rajnath Singh is also expected to join them in the condolence meet.

It is worth mentioning that senior BJP leader LK Advani had resigned from all party posts, apparently opposing the elevation of his one-time protégé Narendra Modi as poll campaign committee chief. Later, Modi had called on Advani in Delhi, reportedly to placate him and address his apprehensions that the party has been hijacked by leaders with ‘personal agenda’.

After those rough days, both the leaders are expected to meet each other at the condolence meeting, scheduled to be held at a hall in Akshar Mandir.
