Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself started the celebration by addressing a huge rally in Mathura on Monday. Centre has started several projects in past one year. To gauge the mood of public over Modi government's performance in the past one year, leading Hindi daily Dainik Jagran has conducted a poll.

A majority of  45690 people surveyed in the poll have given the Modi government full marks for his performance in last one year. PM Modi's ambitious project 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' has bagged the maximum marks with 81 per cent participants termed the project very good while 19 percent respondents disliked it.

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, a flagship project of the Union Government, also received tremendous positive response with more than 81 per cent participants termed the programme very good. Again 19 percent respondents disliked the project.

'Antyodaya' and 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' grabbed the second spot with as many as 78 percent people were satisfied with it while projects such as 'Adarsh Gram Yojna', 'Skill Development' and PM's ambitious 'Make in India' were pegged at third spot with 77 per cent marks.
The 'Smart City' programme of the Modi government was at the fifth spot in Jagran poll. As many as 75 percent participants have voted in favour of the project while 25 percent respondents rejected it.

About 73 percent people in the survey have praised the projects such as 'Namami Gange' and yet to start 'Bullet Train' while 27 percent respondents have outrightly rejected these programmes.
