The land boundary agreement with Bangladesh was pending since last four decades. After the Modi government came to power, the land boundary agreement with Bangladesh was implemented.  Even after 67 years of independence, more than 18000 villages are without electricity. The Modi government has committed to electrify those within a period of 1000 days.

Initiatives were taken to empower women as well, Surakshit Naari; Sashakt Naari, 33 per cent reservation for women in police force, Healthcare for women, Beti Bachao Beti Parao, Changing Mindset, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana are a testimony.

Today, India is being listed amongst the fastest growing economies of the world. With an astonishing growth rate of 7.6% during 2015-2016, the GDP overtook last year’s rate of 7.2 per cent.

Government has been able to control the inflation while reducing the current account deficit and fiscal deficit. One of the major achievements of the Modi government is the stabilization of price which has benefitted the common people. The International Monetary Fund (IMF), in the latest survey said that India is the brightest spot in the world to do any kind of business. Today, India is the favourite destination of global players for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) amidst global showdown.

The government has cleared the pavement for the foreign companies to invest in India. It has achieved the highest rank ever in ‘World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business’.
