“Thank you Lata Didi. As always, your greetings and best wishes inspire me deeply,” Modi wrote on twitter.

Modi’s reaction came soon after Lata Mangeshkar wrote a letter to the Prime Minister designate in which she said that she won’t be able to attend the event at the Rashtrapati Bhavan due to illness.

Modi also posted a picture of Lata Mangeshkar’s letter on his twitter page.

Modi, who led the BJP to an unprecedented victory in the Lok Sabha polls, will take oath as the 15th Prime Minister of the country at a function to be held in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan this evening.

There are also reports that Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rajnikanth will not attend the oath taking ceremony of Modi and Cabinet.
