“Some technical problems were encountered in the systems. Therefore, the rallies have been postponed,” sources from the BJP said.

Modi was scheduled to address thousands of people at more than 100 places simultaneously between 6:30 pm to 8 pm on Monday through the technology. He was set to address 10 to 12 rallies using the technology scheduled to be telecast at over 1,000 places. Ahmedabad was scheduled to witness the first rally via the 3D technology.

The 3D rally has been supported by the Citizens of Accountable Governance (CAG).

BJP’s national vice-president and in-charge of the central election management committee Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has reportedly said it is the first time in any country that a political party will make use of modern technology on such a large scale for election campaign.
