Mohali: With the spectacular performance of team India in Mohali, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's talks also ended at a positive note. In a meeting held first time after the 26/ 11 terror attack, both the PMs agreed to resume the talks and push other outstanding issues.

Manmohan and Gilani were holding talks in the VIP stand at the PCA stadium. Both the PMs, having Punjabi origin, developed good rapport during the match. Mammohan, who has less interest in the cricket, seemed to be focused on diplomatic score rather than Sachin’s innings. Special instructions were issued to the media for not broadcasting the live pictures of the meeting.

According to highly placed sources, both the PMs left the stadium in the midst of the match. While Manmohan Singh went to Rajbhawan for taking rest, Gilani moved to The Taj. Speculation was rife that both the Prime Ministers held meeting in camera.

Special sitting arrangement was made on the dinning table. Sources said that Manmohan Singh was accompanied by Defence Minister Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Governor of Punjab Shivraj Patilwere seated on the right and left of Gilani respectively.

ICC President Sharad Pawar, PCA president IS Bindra, Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal and former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar were also present. The seats on the left of Manmohan Singh was occupied by other Pak leaders like Gandhi Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan’s grandson Aafsander Wali Khan, Minister of State for Foreign Hina Rabbani Khar enjoyed the cuisines of both Amritsar and Lahore.

The platters included both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items, where Punjabi Tandoor was specially ordered. The royal menu included items like Tawa ki Mirchi, Tandoori Salman, Biryani Chop, Sahi Iddli, Sabz Biryani and Bindi Nayantara. Keeping in view the moderate diet of Manmohan Singh, Dal and Palak were also included.
