New Delhi: Arrested in connection with the Samjhuata Blast case, Kamal Chouhan has revealed many more names who are alleged to be involved in the incident that claimed as many as 68 people in 2007. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has geared up to arrest all the terrorists linked to the blast case. According to senior officials, Chouhan has revealed information regarding the terrorists who were involved in the Modassa, the Ajmer Sharif Dargah and the Mecca Masjid blasts.

The Home Ministry on Thursday confirmed that more arrests are likely as the investigating agencies are going to intensify the probe. A senior official of the NIA said, “Kamal Chouhan has accepted his involvement in the Samjhuata Blast case as well as his involvement in the plotting of other blasts. Also, he has agreed to record his statement before the magistrate as per the section 16 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The statement that will be recorded is considered as the proof against the accused.”

Asserting the sensitivity of the case, the ministry has denied revealing any of the names given by Chouhan. Chouhan was close to the prime accused Sunil Joshi, Sandip Dange and Ramji Kalsangra. Dange and Kalsangra had escaped whereas Sunil Joshi was killed later. Chouhan has provided important proofs against Dange and Kalsangra.

The NIA team has begun its search operation at various spots. The members of the NIA team have informed that there are more people involved in the plotting of the blasts and will be arrested soon. Notably, the names revealed so far are said to be linked with the RSS. The CBI has already questioned RSS’s senior leader Indresh in this regard.
