Cyclonic rains and a wet outfield have combined to ensure no play has been possible since 81 overs were bowled on the opening day of what is South African batsman AB de Villiers' 100th Test match.

Play was to start at 9:15 am (0345 GMT) on the final day but the umpires decided to hold a further inspection at 11:30 am before play could resume.

The rain has stopped and weather permitting India who lead the four match series 1-0, will resume on 80 for no loss in response to South Africa's 214.
