The Marshmallow update will occupy 2GB of space in the device and will introduce the 'Doze Mode' feature that promises to boost battery backup of the handset.

Along with this, the smartphone will also get the Google Now on Tap and smoother volume control features. The Moto G (Gen 3) users can check for the update manually by going to the Settings Menu --> About Phone --> System update.
