Meanwhile, the Moto X (Gen 2) 32GB variant is selling at Rs 27,999. The company had launched the Moto X (Generation 2) 32GB storage variant of its smartphone at Rs 32,999.

Moto X comes with a 5.2-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display which is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC supported with 2GB of RAM.

The smartphone sports a 13MP primary shooter and a 2MP front camera. Moto X has a 16GB of internal storage but the company has not given the option of microSD slot. It runs on 2300mAh battery.

According to research firm IDC, smartphone sales in the country grew almost three-fold to over 44 million in 2013, buoyed by affordable devices made by local firms.
    
The company also announced discounts on the Moto G (Gen 2) smartphone and the Moto 360 smartwatch.
