Director: Mohit Suri

Cast: Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Kamaal Rashid Khan, Aamna Sharif, Shaad Randhawa, Remo Fernandes

The romantic thriller, which features Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles, has been produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of her production house Balaji Motion Pictures.

The film has been touted as the biggest hit of the year by the big faces of the tinsel town including director Karan Johar and actresses Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt after they watched the movie during a special screening by Sidharth on Wednesday.

Storyline:  ‘Ek Villain’ is about a gangster Guru (Sidharth) who works for a mafia-led by Caesar (Remo Fernandez). Guru had a dark past which keeps haunting him ceaselessly. Drenched in darkness and black world, Sidharth’s life takes a u-turn when he meets Aisha (Shraddha Kapoor), a bubbly, vivacious girl who pulls him out of the gloomy world.

Love blossoms between them and they decide to tie the nuptial knot and remain together forever. When a transformed Guru decides to leave a blissful married life with Aisha, something catastrophic happens with his beloved.

Guru is lost without Aisha and begins the hunt for the culprit, who took away love of his life. He finds the miscreant Rakesh (Riteish Desmukh) but can’t decode his psychopathic nature.

“Will Guru understand Rakesh’s motives behind killing Aisha?... Will he get Aisha back or fate has decided another darkness for Guru”…this is how the story unfolds.

Review:  Mohit Suri has continued the spark of ‘Aashiqui 2’ in the romantic thriller ‘Ek Villain’.

In her role of a vivacious girl, Shraddha has once again kept her girl-next-door image of ‘Aashiqui 2’.

Sidharth, who had a lover-boy image in his earlier films ‘Student of the Year’ and ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’, is commendable in his new avatar of a grungy, dark and intense man.

Riteish, in contrast to all the happy-go-lucky roles that he has played in most of his flicks, is fantabulous in his dark and brooding role in the film.

Last but not the least, the intense chemistry between Sidharth and Shraddha can’t be missed out!

‘Ek Villain’ is receiving all praises, courtesy incredible numbers like ‘Galliyan’ and ‘Banjaara’, which are already ruling the charts. Shraddha, who is not only blessed with acting skills but also a melodious voice, has made her singing debut with this film.
