Movie: Go Goa Gone

Director: Raj Nidimoru, Krishna DK

Cast: Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Puja Gupta and Anand Tiwari

Jagran rating: Average

Story Line: Building with the concept of Hollywood movies like Rise Of The Zombies, Go Goa Gone hit the theater across the country on Friday. Director Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have perfectly introduced the idea of zom-com movie with this film. Zing of desi humours makes it a must watch, though, for one time.

The story is based on the milieu of beautiful Goa and zombies’ terror but in humoures way. Hardik (Kunal Khemu) is bored of his routine job and pressures while his other friend Luv (Vir Das) is frustrated in his life especially after he learnt that his girlfriend was about to settle down with someone else. Both the guys are looking for a way out while their one more friend Bunny (Anand Tiwari) is about to leave for Goa.

Hardik and Luv join Bunny for this extra ordinary 'business' Goa trip which will soon turn out to be a nightmare for the trio especially after getting an invitation from Luna (Puja Gupta) for an underground rave party. The exclusive rave party is organized by none other but Russian Mafioso Boris (Saif Ali Khan). Yes! The same Boris who "Keels Dead Peepal". All hell breaks loose when everyone is suddenly attacked by Zombies!

Thumbs Up:  Given the performances, Kunal Khemu is a show stealer. Vir Das’ straight faced, matter of fact style of comedy is bone tickling to the core. Both the actors hold this profanely funny film tight. As a zombie slayer, Saif made a new trend in the horror genre of Bollywood films. His kickass screen presence will surely tickle your bones. Go Goa Gone is a fun watch. There are plenty of innocent-sounding, slow-exploding one-liners, which are funny. Comedy comes naturally to Khemu and Tiwari; their lines are seamless and believable. Background score and the sound design are a bit unique.

Tracks like Khon choos le, Baba ki booty and Slowly-slowly have already grooved music lovers.

Thumbs Down: Few scenes are dragging and repetitive. Mindless hilarious movie, don’t go to find logic in it.

Go Goa Gone, crazy but cool movie. Desi zom-com story will surely tickle your funny bones. Book your ticket if you want to come out with your life morose.
