Storyline: 'Happy New Year', revolves around a bunch of people who disguise as dancers to take part in an international dance competition in an attempt to pull off a bank robbery in Dubai. The film which is centered around a dance competition, is a story with a twist as a group of worst dancers come together and participate in a dance competition. Further the story is mixed with a heist.  

Charlie essayed by Shah Rukh Khan is a street fighter, while Mohini played by Deepika Padukone is a bar dancer. She enjoys dancing and she worships dance. She is the teacher of the gang and She teaches them to dance once they come together, and is the only member of her family who earns.

Abhishekh Bachchan has donned a 'tapori' look for his role of Nandu Bhide from Sangam Chawl in Mumbai. He enjoys his drink a bit too much and that makes him very entertaining and very outrageous, but a lot of fun. Deepika's character Mohini and Nandu have grown up together.

Review: Farah Khan's multi-starrer directorial 'Happy New Year' is a musical heist drama with boasts of a star cast that comprise of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah. The flick also has Jackie Shroff who features in it as a villain.  

The central theme of the movie may be the heist a formula used often in Hollywood and Bollywood but Farah has brought out things that set 'Happy New Year' apart from what audience have already seen in the genre.

The film is stupendous’, ‘whopper blockbuster’ and ‘Full on dhamaka’. Shah Rukh Khan who plays Charlie, a street fighter in the film can be seen throwing punches and performing aerial flips in the movie.

The flick shows Shah Rukh with his chiseled body fighting with his enemy, amidst dust, mud and downpour. The actor who brings together a team to pull off one of the biggest robbery, looks robust in the movie.  

"Duniya mein do tarah ke log hote hain winners and losers, lekin zindagi har loser ko ek mauka zaroor deti hai jisme woh winner ban sakta hai," says SRK in the action packed film.

Deepika who plays a bar dancer Mohini in the flick presents a seductive and sultry item number which marks her entry in the film and it reminisces the iconic 'Ek Do Teen' number from Tezaab with the crowd chanting Mohini, Mohini! She has performed bits of pole, belly and ariel dances like a pro.  

The actress is also seen delivering her dialogues in an interesting mix of Marathi and Hindi.

Set in a lavish and extravagant background, the song is a brilliant fusion of Arabic music and electronic beats and Kanika Kapoor's voice compliments the actress beautifully.

Vivaan Shah who is seen playing Rohit in the flick also shook his leg on Happy New Year's track 'Lovely', which is picturized on Deepika in the film.  

The film also has Sonu Sood playing Jag, Boman Irani as Tammy in pivotal roles.
While Kareena Kapoor Khan has a special appearance in the flick.

The music of the film has already made to the chartbusters. The music of Happy New Year is composed by the duo of Vishal-Shekhar while the lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil.  

The full soundtrack was launched on September 15, 2014. Prior to that, promotional music videos were released for 'Indiawaale' and 'Manwa Laage' on September 2 and September 9 respectively.  

With seven original tracks, one electronic version, a variation, a medley and an instrumental number.

As the music directors describe it, 'Indiawaale' is a dance anthem that can be heard and danced to in a disco, stadium or a stage. It is a song for everyone!

Being a big Diwali release this year, 'Happy New Year' makes the festive season 'happier' for fans of Hindi movies.
