Cast: Aksahy Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Asrani, Shreyas Talpade, Chitrangada Singh

Director: Shirish Kunder

Jagran Rating: Disappointing

Story Line: Despite of having a good concept, this Friday release Hindi film ‘Joker’ fell flat at the Box Office on its first day. Based on the aliens and UFO’s, movie story it begins with a NASA scientist Agastya (Akshay Kumar) who keeps sending signals in space to see if Aliens really exist or not. With his lady love (Sonakshi Sinha), he visits his wacky village Paglapur which lacks basic amenities or common sense. Paglapur is not enlisted on the Indian map and the NASA scientist is now on a sudden mission to get it reformed and recognized.

When nothing works, Agastya planned and spreads rumours that aliens visit the village and gots the attention of everyone from the media, ministers, scientists to the US President. The neglected village turns a happening place overnight. Until a British scientist namely Simon Goback unearths that the aliens are villagers under vegetable garb. The moment you realize that something actually happening in the story, the film ends.

Thumbs Up: It’s a time pass watch movie but not really interesting. You can find almost all known comedians in this.

Thumbs Down: Despite of having almost all known comedians, movie fails to tickle your funny bones. Star performance is mediocre. Aksahy Kumar is average and Sonakshi Sinha is below average. Even foot-tapping numbers of Chitrangda Kafiranaa with lots of latkaas and jhatkaas fails to groove the audiences. Don’t find any logic in it you will get nothing.

If you have plenty of time in your weekend, then go for it. It is just an one-time watch flick. But don’t try to find any logic.
