Director: David Yates

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman, Michael Gambon

Jagran Rating:  Good

Story Line: The magical decade of Pottermania ends with tears, joy and sorrow with David presenting the feel of real evil and human battle.

In this film the famous trio of Harry (Daniel Redcliff), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) are in the quest of last three Horcruxes without which they cannot win the battle against the ominous or evil Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).

This quest of Horcruxes take them to a deadly land following which they return finally to Hogwarts for the final lethal mega battle, where again they face the Voldemort followers.

The film is essentially a compilation of wonderful action set pieces where Potter and his friends try to complete their tasks, leading upto the final meeting at Hogwarts.

Thumbs Up: David Yates, who brought the series into its mature stage with the fifth feature, The Order of the Phoenix, gets it mostly right in Part 2. The movie, the eighth in series, is tightly focused and as serious and unsettling as it should be considering its apocalyptic events.
The trio- Daniel, Emma and Rupert once again successfully spread their charm through their magnificent role in this film. Special effects have grown more special, the most spin chilling moment in the film is the high voltage encounter between Harry Potter and Voldemont.

The film holds the spell bound magic, special effects, drama and thrill or breath taking moments.
Audiences who are waiting for Hermione and Ron romantic scene from the last seven series finally get to witness the endearing kiss between them. Childhood ends now and the most memorable magical saga is ended very perfectly.

Thumbs Down: However, fans of Pottermania might still feel little bit low but not for the films direction and special effects but for the story line because the main crux of the story is not as alluring as the earlier series. The war, fighting and destruction scenes are more violent than those shown in the previous movies.
