Jagran Rating:

Story Line: Shortcut Romeo, remake of Tamil movie ‘Thiruttu Payale’, is all about chances, risks, betrayal and finally the shortcuts to money making.

The film is about a good for nothing immoral man, Suraj (Neil Nitin Mukesh) who one fine day catches a couple indulging in love making and shoots their private moments with his video camera. Interestingly, he then discovers that the couple is actually in an extramarital affair and the man Ashish and his so-called lady love Monica (Ameesha Patel) are rich birds whom he can easily use to satisfy his lavish needs. Then begins the game of blackmailing and this filthy rich housewife goes to any length to hide her affair from her husband. Monica’s husband Rahul (Rajesh Shringarpure) is an innocent man but not a fool. Meanwhile, Suraj’s life takes a turn after the entry of Sherry (Puja Gupta), with whom he falls in love. Unfortunately, all is not going to be well in Suraj’s life as Monica knows his secrets and now the remote control is in her hands.

Thumbs up: All the leading actors have justified their roles and director Susi Ganeshan who has made his Bollywood debut with this movie, has given space to the all the roles on the part of the script.  Neil Nitin Mukesh gives a wonderful and a power packed performance as Suraj. Ameesha Patel is just awesome as Monica. The back ground score is very good.

Thumbs down: If you have seen its Tamil version, then Shortcut Romeo is not going to offer you any freshness. On the Musical Note, Shortcut Romeo doesn’t have any songs which will be remembered for long.

Shortcut Romeo is a powerful and thrilling flick with lots of twists and turns.
